A cute oasis in the city
The hotel's location is perfect for business and leisure. I greatly appreciated the spacious rooms with a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle outside. The fitness center was also a definite highlight, well-equipped for all my workout needs.
Unfortunately, the noise levels were a significant drawback. I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms, and the street outside was loud, especially during the night. The check-in process was a bit slow, leaving me a bit frustrated after a long day of travel.

The location and lobby, rooms
At the checkout the lady insisted on getting a Spanish postal code and a "CIF" because the billing system requires it for Spanish citizens. I live abroad and I am sorry, but the limitations of the system cannot be passed on to the customers.

The person at the reception upon my arrival, attended to my request for a room on the top floor with lots of natural light, giving me the best room I could expect, so I thank the hotel and that person who attended to my request
The truth is that I was surprised that in a hotel of the Marriot chain, there is not even security at the door, that they do not have a receptionist for taxis or vehicles that arrive with clients at the hotel to receive them, as well as their luggage, and that at the reception they only have two receptionists for so many clients that accumulate both at check-in and at check-out. Obviously the property would answer that they cannot pay more staff for one thing or another..but as far as I know, they do not give away the rooms so that they cannot put in some more workers and give a little more quality to the client, since we are talking about a hotel of the Marriot chain, in a very good zone of Madrid, so I imagine the answer...I also know it...less staff, more they earn...but more fools we are the clients who do not protest against that, and we ask for better attention on that part... And all this has the effect of making the client feel less attended to...but as I say, all this as I imagine I must be one of the few who question this matter, they will not put a solution to it

Location, facilities, breakfast
Impersonal, uninterested in what the client needs. We went with our 3 children, and stayed in two rooms (double + triple). I asked them expressly and from the beginning for nearby rooms (my little 11 year old son has a problem only a few nights, nothing important but he needs our help then). . They assigned me rooms on different floors and very far apart! When I arrived at the hotel I asked them again to bring the rooms at least to the same floor, and I was told that it was not possible, quite dry . That night, it was agreed that my son had the problem and he ventured alone through the hotel, corridor, and elevator to our room at 5 a.m. . I think that a hotel of this category should put some effort into issues like this, which are quite reasonable (family with children, nearby rooms) . I did not feel that I was being treated personally or empathetically as a customer but as just another booking to be completed... . Sorry, I do NOT recommend it as a hotel.

The room size is almost US standard, i.e., large. Bathroom is also big. Nicely decorated, very comfortable, free minibar (decently stocked). 10 out of 10 for the room itself, and its cleanless. 1 min away to Cuzco metro station. Fast-food, decent restaurants and non-stop shops nearby.
The sound insulation was inadequate. Street noise was very loud in the room, even at the 8th floor. Staff were incredibly slow (15 min to check-in), unhelpful with informing about the hotel's facilities (we learned in the third day that the minibar was free, from a colleague), unhelpful with respect to what one could do / see in Madrid,... The TV channels selection was very poor,... only second hand Spanish channels (no live soccer games) and CNN in english.

Everything was modern and rooms were fashionable and brand-new. The restaurant was popular for a convenient price, I tried excellent dishes. There was large bed, attentive staff at the reception desk. The location was absolutely perfect for walking around Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. It was reasonably clean, I would go back in flash.
